I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman Review

For Angel Rahimi, life is only about one thing: The Ark – a pop-rock trio of teenage boys who are currently taking the world by storm. Being part of The Ark’s fandom has given her everything – her friendships, her dreams, her place in the world. Jimmy Kaga-Ricci owes everything to The Ark too. He’s… Read More I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman Review

Feed by M.T. Anderson Spoiler Free Review

3.5 STARS! I listened to this as an audiobook and what really struck me and irritated me was how stupid the language was. The way Titus and his friends spoke really drove me up the wall, to the point where I considered just abandoning it. It was just too much. However, I decided to carry… Read More Feed by M.T. About Abby

I’m Abby, an eighteen year-old writer/reader who relies too much on stories in any form, and is unhealthily attached to my black labrador pup, Murphy.

When I’m not crying over fictional characters, you can find me working at the library, learning languages, stressing over my uni courses, and trying (and failing) to bake something partially edible.

I review all genres and age ranges, as well as a few TV shows and movies sprinkled in there occasionally.

Feel free to call me Abby, Abs, AJ, or whatever takes your fancy. And say hi! I’m lonely!

Karen Thompson Walker has done it again 🙌🏻 If you’re ever looking for a speculative/dystopian story with interesting characters and beautiful writing, you can’t go wrong with either of her books. (The Dreamers may JUST still be my favourite, though 😉) 🍂 🍂 #books #bookstagram #reading #bookshelf #shelfie #bookblogger #bookblogging #ya #library #booksta #karenthompsonwalker #theageofmiracles
I’ve been diving into a lot of adult dystopias recently and I’ve found that it’s one of my favourite genres. They can sometimes be repetitive but now and again, you’ll find something completely unique and terrifying, and that’s pretty much what I look for in a book at the moment 😂 . What are you currently reading at the moment? Right now I’m re-reading Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng for my library book club and it’s reminding me how much I love her writing. I’m hoping I can finish it tonight! . . #books #bookstagram #reading #bookshelf #shelfie #bookblogger #bookblogging #ya #library #booksta #bookclub
This was one of my favourite books of the year, and definitely in my top 3 YA fantasies! . Check out my review for Sorcery of Thorns on my blog (link in bio) 🍂 . . #books #bookstagram #reading #bookshelf #shelfie #bookblogger #bookblogging #ya #library #booksta #sorceryofthorns #fantasy

As it’s getting colder and I’m finally getting back to my jumpers (🤩) I’ve been thinking about this time last year when I listed to one of my all time favourite books. It’s definitely hugely popular but I feel like it isn’t talked about too much at the moment, so I thought I’d give it a bit of love. . . #books #bookstagram #reading #bookshelf #shelfie #bookblogger #bookblogging #ya #library #booksta #sadie #mysterythriller
